Hi Everyone,
Here is a great opportunity that I know has helped some of the organizations we work with--especially those looking to add a more experience based focus to the classroom.
Nineteen years ago, my good friend Dan Creely Jr. and a core crew of friends put together an idea for a conference on ways of using experience and adventure methods in teaching across the curriculum. That year the first annual T.E.A.M conference took place at Northeastern Illinois University. The first year it was...small (very). However, with Dan's energy for connecting people, the conference has grown into a unique gathering that brings an amazingly diverse family (in the truest sense of the word) together once a year in February.
T.E.A.M is hard to explain really. It has actually grown beyond a gathering of teachers and adventure programmers in the conventional sense to include Native elders from around the world, pratitioners of many traditional arts and crafts, and many unique personalities that make this a one of a kind event that has to be experienced to be completely appreciated.

Welcome to the Manito-wish Leadership Blog!
Well here it is...the official Camp Manito-wish YMCA Leadership Program blog. It's my hope that this blog will expand the Manito-wish Leadership Program experience by providing a place to exchange information and ideas. This site will keep you updated on what is going on in the Leadership Program including which clients or groups are joining us and when, to Leadership staff announcements, to a forum to share ideas and thoughts about leadership. If you have ideas, photos from your time at Camp, or stories of your experiences, please email them to me (mark.zanoni@manito-wish.org).
